BOOKING AND CANCELLATION CONDITIONS A LA CARTE LAPLAND OY
BOOKING: OFFER, PRELIMINARY RESERVATION, BOOKING POLICIES, CONFIRMED BOOKING,
INVOICE, PAYMENT AND BOOKING DOCUMENTS

An offer made by A La Carte Lapland Oy is valid for 7 days, unless otherwise stated. A La Carte
Lapland Oy can with discretion accept and hold a preliminary reservation for three working days,
unless otherwise agreed. An offer or a preliminary booking will automatically expire unless the
customer contacts A La Carte Lapland and confirms the booking. Written confirmations are
preferred and desirable, in addition to a possible phone contact.

All bookings made in the safari house are non refundable upon completion of payment.

Offer or/and preliminary booking is secured after the customer has paid the advance / reservation
fee (20% of the total, non-refundable) by the due date (14 days from the invoice issue date) or has
paid both the advance and final payment at one time. The final invoice must be paid no later than
four (4) weeks prior to the start of the reservation.

If the invoices are not paid by their due date, the reservation can unilaterally be released for sale
by A La Carte Lapland Oy. Leaving an invoice unpaid, does not count as a cancellation and a
written cancellation is always required. The advance/reservation fee will be charged for all
confirmed bookings and is non-refundable. If the accommodation can be sold to another
customer, A La Carte Lapland may, with consideration, reduce the amount charged from the
customer.

If the fees and payment terms are neglected, the booking may be canceled without further
notification.

If there are 31-50 days (4-7 weeks) or more until the reservation, the total amount will be paid in
two installments. Advance payment is due 14 days after the invoice date. The final payment is due
4 weeks prior to the beginning of the reservation.

If there are 15-30 days (2-4 weeks) or less until the reservation, the total amount will be due
within 7 days of the invoice date.

The invoice/s are sent to the customer via e-mail or mail, along with all relevant nformation to the
accommodation unit, driving directions and key collection and or safaris.

CANCELLATION AND AMENDMENT
All cancellations must be made in writing (letter, e-mail, fax) A La Carte Lapland Oy. Cancellation is
valid from the moment the cancellation is received by A La Carte Lapland Oy. If the cancellation is
not received for some reason, but the customer can show credibly that he/she has sent the
cancellation, the cancellation will be accepted.

All confirmed bookings will be charged the 20 % advance payment.  If the cancellation is made
later than 21 days prior to the start of the reservation, full price of the stay will be charged. If the
accommodation can be to marketed and sold to another client, only the 20% reservation fee will
be charged.If the client wished to change the reservation (destination, dates, extra services or number of persons), A La Carte Lapland Oy has the right to charge €18 changing fee. All changes are to be
made no later than four (4) weeks prior to the start of the stay. All amendments made later than
that will be considered as cancellation of the previous booking and as a new booking.

CANCELLATION IN CASE OF ILLNESS
The customer has the right to cancel a family reservation and receive a refund (excluding the 20%
advance payment) for paid accommodation and services of A La Carte Lapland Oy, in case of a
serious illness, accident or death in the immediate family, and if it would be unreasonable to
expect the family to leave for a holiday. Immediate family is considered to be the spouse,
unmarried partner, children, parents, in-laws, siblings, grandchildren or grandparents.
If the reservation is not a family trip, a sudden illness of a single member of the group allows
him/her to cancel and get refunded for individually priced services such as meals, linen sets, and
activities. Refund for shared accommodation (cabins, lodges) is not possible, as the
accommodation units are priced per unit, not based on number of lodgers. The person requesting
the refund needs to be a pre-announced and registered lodger.

An official medical certificate and a travel ban issued by a doctor is required in all cancellations
requiring refunds based on a medical situation. Epidemics like swine and bird flu influenzas are not
accepted as bases for cancellation, neither are chronic or long-term diseases that were known
before making a reservation. An individual travel insurance covering cancellation situations is
highly recommended. Cancellations due to illness shall be notified to A La Carte Lapland in writing
immediately.

A LA CARTE LAPLAND OY'S RIGHT TO CANCEL A BOOKING

In case of force majeure, A La Carte Lapland Oy can cancel a reservation. The customer is then
entitled to be refunded in full. If the fees and payment terms are neglected, the booking may be
cancelled by A La Carte Lapland without further notification. If the reservation has to be
interrupted because of disruptive behavior, the customer has no right for refunds.

Bed linen and towels are not included in the rent, but are offered as extra services.
Final cleaning of the accommodation unit is not always automatically included in the rental prices.
This service is recommended to be booked in advance.  The customer is entitled to perform the
final cleaning him/herself with the instructions/guidelines provided. The cabin/accommodation
unit is always checked by A La Carte Lapland staff after the stay and if the cleaning has not been
satisfactory, a cleaning fee (minimum of 60€) is charged from the client.  A La Carte Lapland also
has the right to charge an extra cleaning fee from customers who have ordered the final cleaning
but have left the cabin in worse condition than is expected from normal living.
Maximum number of people allowed to stay at the cabin is the maximum capacity reported in the
accommodation descriptions of the unit. Placing a tent or a caravan on unit grounds without
permission is prohibited. Pets are only allowed in appointed units and are always to be agreed in
advance. Smoking is never allowed inside the accommodation.
A La Carte Lapland Oy is not responsible for possible allergic reactions ie. due to air quality, dust,
air or water pollutants, interior decoration or coating materials, natural or domestic animals,
plants, …
A La Carte Lapland Oy, is responsible for smoking, dust, air or water pollutants, interior decoration
or coating materials, natural or home-animals, plants, or other reasons not caused by allergies or
other problems for customers. Unless the apartments not specifically mentioned in the allergy,
not for A La Carte Lapland Oy, an item can not guarantee the suitability of people with allergies.

COMPENSATION FOR DAMAGE AND FORCE MAJEURE

The customer is obliged to immediately notify your holiday home or its contents for any damage
caused, and replace them with A La Carte Lapland Oy. Unannounced damages will be charged
afterwards, the actual costs plus a 60 € vauriolisällä.
A La Carte Lapland Oy, is responsible for a customer in the damage caused by unforeseeable force
majeure (force majeure) or a similar reason (eg, natural phenomena, power failures, etc.), which is
not due to A La Carte Lapland Oy, and the consequences of aLa Carte Lapland Oy, could not
reasonably have prevented. A La Carte Lapland Oy is not responsible for any damage or
inconvenience caused by regular natural phenomena.

COMPLAINTS

All the resort of comments and complaints are addressed without delay cause for them arises and
the time of booking directly to the owner or custodian. If the matter is not fixed, the customer
must be taken within 72 hours of connection: A La Carte Lapland Oy, respectively. If the matter is
still not repaired, the customer may make a written complaint at A La Carte Lapland Oy,
respectively. This should normally be made within one month of end of the reservation.If the client and the A La Carte Lapland Oy, can not reach an agreement, the customer can bring
the matter before the Consumer Disputes Board
